What to expect at the speedway

A Speedway Tour is a guided, open-air tram ride that visits the infield, the 31-degree high banks, and pit road. Access to the start/finish line and pit road depends on on-track activity.

Each Speedway Tour includes admission to the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. The Hall of Fame is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with ticket sales ending at 4:00 PM. Hours can change, so check the official site before you go.

Tour guests can bring wheelchairs, mobility devices, walkers, and strollers. ASL interpretation is available with advance notice. Tours operate in rain but stop when lightning is within eight miles of the track; rain checks may be issued, and refunds are not offered.

How should you plan event-day arrival and parking?

How should you plan event-day arrival and parking?

Parking availability, prices, and open lots vary by event. The Speedway advises checking the event page or Know Before You Go information for the arrangements that apply to your visit.

Free general parking is available in Lots 7 and 8, with a shuttle from Lot 7; paid parking is available in Lots 1, 4, 3, and 8 for select events.

Reserved ADA parking is in Lots 1 and 4; general ADA parking is in Lot 6, where a placard is required. ADA transportation is available. On major event days, free golf carts serve marked accessible-cart routes, though service may be delayed during peak pedestrian periods or temporarily suspended just after a race for safety.

Official rideshare pickup and drop-off is near Lot 1, off the frontage street near Cracker Barrel on eastbound International Speedway Blvd. Bus parking is in Lot 1 on a first-come, first-served basis; when it fills, buses are redirected to Lot 6. The Speedway says official parking routes can vary with traffic patterns and advises keeping navigation open when leaving.

Plan around the event calendar

Plan around the event calendar

Event schedules and arrival arrangements vary, so use the Speedway’s event information to plan for the specific date you have in mind. Times can vary by event. If you are flying into Orlando Sanford International Airport, the route options from SFB to Daytona Beach can help you plan your onward arrival.

If you are driving into the infield to camp, entry is through Gate 70 during peak hours. Outside peak hours, guests may enter through Gate 40 on Williamson Boulevard.

For a break from the track, Daytona Beach’s beach access, rules, and shoreline options offer a different way to spend time in the city. Confirm the applicable entry and parking instructions before setting out.
